What exactly is a "Drop-in" facility?
Drop-in means exactly that: Drop In. There is no need to make arrangements ahead of time. When you need us, we are here and open for your child care needs.
What is the difference between Clubhouse for Kids and a typical "Day Care"?
We do not require monthly tuition with set hours. We are more
like a sitter for your child. We are licensed by the State of
a facility you can use when you need a few hours to yourself.
You pay only when you are here - there are no contracts for you
to sign. We are also open past the time typical Day Care centers
close. We are here for you in the day AND evening. Stay till
9 p.m. M-Th and Midnight on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday,
we are open till 8 p.m.
What are the ages of the children you care for?
We are open for children ages 18 months to 12 years.
What kind of activities does your facility offer?
Our #1 priority is ALWAYS safety. Our #2 priority is FUN! Your child can come and choose from a number or age appropriate activities. We have a wonderful open environment. The younger children area has a play kitchen, trucks, dolls, legos, books, trains and loads of other great toys. We have a fully lit stage and dress-up area to put on full productions and concerts. There is a puppet theatre, board games area with the lasted games, arts and crafts, a library, a big screen television for movies and seven Game Cube, Wii, and X-Box stations with a variety of age appropriate video games. We have a "Big Kids" room called "Clubhouse Exreme" where children 6 and up can go and have fun. There is something for every child!! We guarantee we can entertain your child!
What type of movies do you show or video games can they play?
It is important to us that all parents feel comfortable with the content of movies, television shows and video games we have at the facility. No movies or television shows will be shown unless they are rated G or PG. Only E rated video games will be played. We also understand that some PG movies or television shows are not appropriate. We will do our best to show movies and television shows that are appropriate to the ages of children in attendance. Please do not bring your own video games or movies to the facility.
Can anyone just enter the facility?
NO! Our front door will be locked to the outside. A caregiver has to open the door from the inside for you to enter. It is very important to us that everyone is safe while in our care. Photo I.D.s need to be shown before picking up your child. We understand that this may "get old" to you, but we hope you will understand that this is an important policy for the children’s safety. We want everyone to know how serious we are about the safety of your child!
Can someone else pick up my child?
Because safety of the children is our #1 priority it is necessary to have all your information. On your first visit you will fill out a form that lists all you and your child's pertinent information. Some of the things included on this form are: persons who are allowed to pick up your child, and your family "code word." When dropping off your child you will be asked who will be picking up. If that person is not in our records we will ask that you leave a note with the persons contact information. We will check Photo I.D. of EVERYONE when picking up a child.
What if I am late and show-up after closing?
We understand that unexpected events can happen that could delay the pick up of your child. We also have care givers who expect to go home when their shift is over. Therefore, we ask that you call ahead to let us know you will not be here by closing. Then please expect to pay $1.00/minute for every minute you are late. This fee will be paid to person in charge at time of pick up.
How do I pay?
We take all major credit cards, checks and cash. You pay after each visit when picking up your child. We also offer block hours. Visit our Hours & Rates page for more information.
